This is a FREE training! Join KidWind and learn how to explore the power of solar energy with your students.

Come to this workshop to learn about the science and technology around solar energy! In this workshop you will review energy and electricity basics, and learn how to construct solar powered fountains and other devices. The energy-based content combined with practical standards connected classroom activities will make it easy to bring renewable energy to your classroom.Questions?

What can you expect?

  • No prior knowledge on solar required
  • Teachers will get a $100 stipend & classroom materials

CLEAN ENERGY COHORT DETAILS

  • No prior experience is required
  • The focus of this workshop is Middle School Educators but all are welcome
  • Teachers will agree to participate in the Cohort for a minimum of 1 year, with the opportunity to extend their participation.
  • Cohort members will receive a $100 stipend and a wide variety of classroom materials

Fall 2024 (November 5th, 2024)

Attend professional development workshop led by KidWind and Clearloop

 Winter 2025

Brief virtual check-in with Cohort and program leads to touch base on resource/curriculum implementation, brainstorm additional ideas

Spring 2025

Opportunity for experiential learning with Clearloop based on classroom need – could include a tour of the solar farm, classroom micro-grants, a guest speaker, virtual reality experience
