Curriculum Writing Team

Expected Wage: $100/meeting + $50/hour

KidWind has a number of curricular projects underway that need support from experienced educators. These projects involve curriculum writing, lesson piloting, standards alignment and ongoing content revision and support. While projects can range in duration, theme, requested expertise and deliverables, though at their heart they are unified by our mission to develop affordable, robust, and innovative educational materials to bring clean energy to life in the classroom. Members of our Curricular Writing Team will be able to indicate interest in specific projects based their expertise and availability. Project writing teams are expected to attend regular meetings as well produce and revise content on their own. Apply now to join our curriculum writing team!

Responsibilities

âž” Collaborate with team members on vision and design of curricular materials;
âž” Develop and refine clean energy activities, lessons, and other resources as outlined by the specific project needs;
âž” Create and curate content and resources to support curricular materials;
âž” Pilot activities and lessons with students;
âž” Prepare teacher training guides for workshops.

Required Experience

âž” Degree in education, science/STEM, or related discipline;
âž” At least 5 years of successful P-12 classroom instructional experiences (as teacher of record)
âž” Demonstrated experience developing curricula for P-12 students;
âž” Strong organizational and planning skills;
âž” Comfortable working independently and remotely;
âž” Excellent oral communication skills and comfortable communicating with all ages.
