This is a FREE training! Join KidWind and learn how to explore the power of wind and solar energy to then teach it in your classroom.
KidWind’s professional development program offers hands-on training to teach energy concepts to students in grades 4-12. Through interactive activities, attendees gain the skills and knowledge needed to integrate clean energy topics into their curriculum. KidWind’s program uses solar panels, circuitry, and wind turbines to help educators engage students in learning about clean energy technologies, the grid, and workforce development. The training emphasizes real-world applications, problem-solving, and STEM skills, empowering educators to inspire the next generation of innovators.
We will also introduce educators to the KidWind Challenge: a hands-on design competition where student teams showcase their small-scale wind turbines and solar structure designs. Heartland Community College will be hosting a KidWind Challenge Friday, February 27th. Come to this workshop to learn more!
