The WaWa’s Alpha live in Oklahoma where the wind blows and wind farms are abundant. We are Woodward High School physics students that are applying what we learn in physics to wind power. Our motto, “When the wind comes sweeping down the plains, capture its power!”
We are a group of 8th grade boys that have known each other since kindergarten and love anything hands on. We all came together during Tech class and the engineering club under the KidWind Umbrella. We are extremely excited to represent IWCS in MInnesota.
Small town kids trying to rise up to the windy challenge.
Hi we’re the Wind Warriors and we’re all in 7th grade. This is our 3rd year with KidWind. The team we have this year is Cullen, Quinn, Abishua, Xander, and Michael. We’re all in math accelerated.
Anvi, Julie, Malika, and Arielle are the Wind Chasers. The Wind Chasers are a group of young girls who are passionate about STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). They are curious, creative, and problem-solvers. They love to learn new things and explore their interests. The Wind Chasers are also supportive of each other and work together to achieve their goals.
These young ladies have been members of our renewable energy club since October. They are full of energy, love to learn, and bring a fun, positive vibe to the table. Earning a ticket to the World Challenge is the icing on the cake for all of their hard work and dedication.
Win Wind Situation includes Autumn, who has been competing in KidWind for two years, and Rosemary, who is a rookie. The girls teamed up this year to win their division at Alaska’s Clean Energy Olympics. They are looking forward to competing at Worlds and meeting the other contestants.
This team of first year engineering students is part of our Principles of Engineering class at Riverdale High School. They have worked very hard to produce a windmill with a homemade generator.
Hi! I’m Logan and I am a member of Wacky Wavy Inflatable Windmen. Unfortunately, my other two teammates can’t go to Minnesota, but I am excited and ready!
