Come to this workshop to learn about the science and technology around solar energy! In this workshop you will review energy and electricity basics, and learn how to construct solar lanterns, solar powered fountains and other devices. We will discuss topics including how we power the grid, the growth of grid scale solar, why solar irradiance favors the southern U.S., how solar works, voltage and current, series and parallel circuits, and more The energy-based content combined with practical standards connected classroom activities will make it easy to bring renewable energy to your classroom.
