During this December 6th full-day workshop, teachers will be introduced to energy basics through interactive activities and gain the skills and knowledge needed to integrate clean energy topics into their curriculum. This workshop will focus on the science of wind energy and wind turbines, providing educators with a variety of activities to help students understand wind turbine design and construction. Each teacher who attends the workshop will receive $200 in materials to support the integration of wind energy lessons into their classrooms as well as a $250 stipend.
Teachers also receive the opportunity to receive coaching throughout the year and an additional $500 in classroom materials. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Please note this training is only open to 6-12th grade teachers from Bellport, Brentwood, Bayshore, Central Islip, Mastic Beach, and Longwood.
