The KidWind Offshore Wind Academy is excited to host the inaugural KidWind Challenge for teams eager to test their turbine designs and earn a spot in the KidWind Worlds Competition in Phoenix, AZ, this May.
What is the KidWind Challenge?
The KidWind Challenge is a hands-on wind turbine design competition where students have the chance to explore the intersection of STEM and clean energy. Teams of students will design and build small wind turbines, which they’ll test in a wind tunnel.
A panel of judges will evaluate each team’s design and listen to presentations on wind energy concepts and design choices.
Instant Challenges
In addition to the main competition, teams will participate in Instant Challenges—quick, on-the-spot problem-solving tasks that highlight teamwork and creativity.
Are You Ready?
Have you assembled your team? Ready to put your turbine to the test? We can’t wait to see you there!
