Description: This FREE workshop offers hands-on training to teach energy concepts to students in grades 4-12. Through interactive activities with Vernier materials and diverse curricula (KEP, KidWind, and NEED), attendees gain the skills and knowledge needed to integrate energy topics into their own curriculum. The training emphasizes real-world applications, problem-solving, and STEM skills, empowering educators to inspire the next generation of innovators.

- 9:30am – 10:30am: Wind101 Introduction
- 10:30am – 11:30am: Sailcar/MacGyver Challenge or Age Division Breakout Session (Firefly or Generators)
- 11:30am – 12:00pm: Renewable vs. Energy Efficiency + K-12 Benchmarking
- 12:00pm – 1:00pm: Lunch
- 1:00pm – 1:20pm: Introduction to KidWind
- 1:20pm – 1:40pm: Introduction to KidWind turbines
- 1:40pm – 3:00pm: Wind turbine design competition
- 3:00pm – 3:30pm: Q&A and follow-up discussion
