Light Breakfast, snacks, and lunch will be provided, so please list any dietary restrictions.
*Returning coaches can attend for the second half of the day 11:30 AM-2:30 AM for 3 clock hours. New coaches are encouraged to attend the full 6 hour training from 8:30 AM- 2:30 PM.
Attendees will receive supplies to facilitate multiple teams at the Elementary, Middle, and/or High School level. Including, a wind turbine tower (assembled during the training), kidwind generators, hubs, blade material, wooden dowels, and access to all lesson plans.
All attendees will receive 6 STEM clock hours.
The outcomes are for all in attendance is to be familiar with wind and solar energy sources, careers, and the design and engineering of blades and turbines.
Attendees will build wind turbines and test different blade configurations.
Attendees will also receive instruction on how to secure sponsors and partners for supporting their own club or team.
If you choose to create a team and register for a March regional challenge your team will be eligible to qualify for the Worlds Competition in May. Top performing teams in each age division will be invited to the World Event.
