This is the 5th Annual WindWinRI Wind Turbine Competition for High School Students. It will be held on Saturday, March 22nd at the Community College of Rhode Island, Knight Campus in Warwick, RI.
Competing in their chosen category: basic (KidWind) or advanced (home-built) generators. Student teams will be judged by industry experts on their wind turbine performance, their verbal and written engineering documentation, knowledge and critical thinking, and their response to a real-life offshore wind industry challenge.
This is a qualifying event for the annual KidWind World Challange. Winning teams will be invited to travel to Phoenix, Arizona for the Worlds.
Rhode Island Teams have excelled and been recognized in every visit to past KidWind Challanges.
