Lord of the Winds
The Maryland KidWind team—Anesa, Octavia, Landon, and Nate—are rising young engineers from Prince George’s County who proudly represent their state’s commitment to clean energy innovation. Inspired by Maryland’s growing offshore wind industry and environmental leadership, they designed and tested their own wind turbine to compete in the national KidWind Challenge. Their teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving reflect the spirit of the Chesapeake Bay region—resilient, resourceful, and ready to power the future. From Bowie to Ocean City, they carry the wind of Maryland pride wherever they go.
