Joel and Leon are seniors in the STEM Capstone program at Normal Community High School. Their wind turbine design earned second place at the Heartland Community College KidWind Competition, demonstrating strong engineering design and teamwork. Leon plans to study engineering at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), while Joel plans to pursue engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology.
