CHUNG-I TSAI
We are the Taiwan Windog — six high school students from two cities in Taiwan, 80 miles apart. Two from Tainan, four from Nantou. We split the work by specialty, coordinated online, and merged at key milestones. The distance made us communicate with precision.
Our turbine uses an aluminum extrusion frame with blades made from 3D-printed molds filled with high-density foam — a method we developed after rejecting direct 3D-printing (too heavy) and wood (not precise enough).
Over a hundred test runs taught us that one degree, one millimeter, changes everything. We came in as curious students. We are leaving as engineers.
