Art Challenge winners
In 2024, KidWind partnered with the US Department of Energy to launch the inaugural Energy Art Challenge.
We invited students from kindergarten through 8th grade across the United States to create artwork about the theme Beautiful Wind Energy. A panel of judges from the US Department of Energy's Wind Energy Technologies Office and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory selected 2 winners from each grade out of the over 600 incredible submissions, and 38 honorable mentions. Winners received a $200 prize, a certificate commemorating their achievement, and their framed artwork displayed at the World KidWind Challenge in Minneapolis, MN in May 2024, within the American CLEANPOWER Conference.
