Art Challenge Winners

KidWind hosted the 2nd annual Wind Energy Art Challenge in 2025 after the first year of the event was a huge success! In 2025, we invited students across the nation from kindergarten through 8th grade to submit artwork around the theme Beautiful Wind Energy. Once again we received incredibly thoughtful submissions from over 500 students in 38 states.

After careful deliberation, the panel of judges consisting of staff from the US Department of Energy's Wind Energy Technologies Office and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory selected 4 winners from each grade level and 80 honorable mentions.

All 36 winners received a certificate commemorating their achievement and their artwork framed in a plaque and displayed at the World KidWind Challenge in Phoenix, Arizona in May 2025. Over 1,000 attendees at Worlds and 8,000 at the American CLEANPOWER Conference had the opportunity to view the impressive top work.
