Solar Explorers

The Solar Explorers are a team of 5th grade girls who have been working together since September on this project. They competed in the online challenge with a bird bath project just before the rules changed. Since then they have done a lot of work to add food and a house to their bird bath to make it a complete Chickadee habitat called Kagora (Japanese work for Chickadee) Palace. They are excited to go to Worlds, even though it is their last week of elementary school. They plan to compete and still make it back for graduation. We are thankful for KidWind for providing them this opportunity to apply their love of science to build something amazing and useful.
